Description: The solmization syllables that provide the overriding motif of the mass are in imitation of the words "Laisse faire moy" or perhaps "Lesse faire a mi" (Let me take care of it), reportedly said to Josquin by "an unidentified magnate known for his procrastinating ways" (Grove) when Josquin requested something.
