  • (Posted 2020-09-02)  CPDL #60390:
Editor: Mick Swithinbank (submitted 2020-09-02).   Score information: A4, 10 pages, 105 kB   Copyright: CPDL
Edition notes: Transposed down a tone. An editorial Quinta Pars is supplied. Where voice exchange appeared to have occurred between Tenor and Quinta Pars, the implied line occasionally took Quinta Pars above the limits of the C4 clef, which has been tolerated here.

General Information

Title: Non turbetur cor vestrum
Composer: Jean Maillard
Lyricist:

Number of voices: 5vv   Voicing: SATTB
Genre: SacredMotet

Language: Latin
Instruments: A cappella

First published: 1555 in Sacrarum cantionum … quinque et sex vocum, liber 3, no. 9
Description: A pleasantly cheerful motet from Waelrant's Sacrarum Cantionum ... 5 et 6 vocum, liber tertius, of 1555. In the source used, the Quinta Pars book is missing. The clefs used in the extant parts were G2, C2, C3, F3, so the missing part would probably have had a C4 clef.
