My eyes, O Lord, have seen your light.

Lord now let your servant depart in peace,
according to your word,
For my eyes have seen your salvation,
which you have prepared in the sight of every people.

Lord now let your servant depart in peace,
according to your word,
A light to reveal you to the nations,
and to be the glory of Israel your people.

My eyes, O Lord, have seen your light.
The light of your salvation reveals you to the nations.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.

My eyes, O Lord, have seen your light.

Amen.

Based on translations from the Church of England's "Book of Common Prayer" and "Common Worship"
