Life

Born: c.1740
Died: 1784
Biography Trained by William Boyce, Valton held assistant organist's posts at the Chapel Royal, Westminster Abbey and at St George's Hanover Square (Handel's incumbency). He emigrated to the United States (in the mid 1760s) and became organist to the St Cecilia Society, Charleston, SC.
