Clementine Vulgate (Psalm 60)Latin text 1 In finem. In hymnis David. 2 Exaudi, Deus, deprecationem meam; intende orationi meae. 3 A finibus terrae ad te clamavi, dum anxiaretur cor meum; in petra exaltasti me. Deduxisti me, 4 quia factus es spes mea: turris fortitudinis a facie inimici. 5 Inhabitabo in tabernaculo tuo in saecula; protegar in velamento alarum tuarum. 6 Quoniam tu, Deus meus, exaudisti orationem meam; dedisti haereditatem timentibus nomen tuum. 7 Dies super dies regis adjicies; annos ejus usque in diem generationis et generationis. 8 Permanet in aeternum in conspectu Dei: 9 Sic psalmum dicam nomini tuo in saeculum saeculi, ut reddam vota mea de die in diem. |
Church of England 1662 Book of Common PrayerEnglish text To the end. A hymn of David. 1 Hear my crying, O God: give ear unto my prayer. 2 From the ends of the earth will I call upon thee: when my heart is in heaviness. 3 O set me up upon the rock that is higher than I: for thou hast been my hope, and a strong tower for me against the enemy. 4 I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: and my trust shall be under the covering of thy wings. 5 For thou, O Lord, hast heard my desires: and hast given an heritage unto those that fear thy Name. 6 Thou shalt grant the King a long life: that his years may endure throughout all generations. 7 He shall dwell before God for ever: 8 So will I always sing praise unto thy Name: that I may daily perform my vows. |

Végig, Dávid énekeiből.
Hallgasd meg, Isten, az én könyörgésemet; figyelmezz imádságomra.
A föld határairól kiáltok hozzád, mivel szorongattatik szivem. Te fölemelsz engem a kősziklára, vezérelsz engem;
A király napjaihoz napokat adsz, esztendeit nemzedékről nemzedékre terjeszted;
s ő megmarad örökké az Isten színe előtt. Az ő irgalmát és igazságát ki veszi számba?
Igy dicséretet mondok a te nevednek mindörökön örökké: hogy teljesítsem fogadásaimat napról napra.
