Latin text 24:17  Quasi cedrus exaltata sum in Libano et quasi cypressus in monte Sion 24:18  et quasi palma exaltata sum in Cades et quasi plantatio rosae in Ierico. 24:19  Quasi oliva speciosa in campis et quasi platanus exaltata sum iuxta aquam in plateis 24:20  sicut cinnamomum et balsamum aromatizans odorem dedi quasi murra electa dedi suavitatem odoris. Variant 1 24:16b  In plenitudine sanctorum detentio mea. Variant 2 (from Song of Songs) 4:7  Tota pulchra es amica mea et macula non est in te. 4:8a  O amica mea, veni de Libano, veni sponsa mea, veni coronaberis.

English translation 24:17  I was exalted like a cedar in Libanus, and as a cypress tree on mount Sion. 24:18  I was exalted like a palm tree in Cades, and as a rose plant in Jericho: 24:19  As a fair olive tree in the plains, and as a plane tree by the water in the streets, was I exalted. 24:20  I gave a sweet smell like cinnamon, and aromatical balm: I yielded a sweet odour like the best myrrh: Variant 1 24:16b  In the full assembly of the saints is my abode. Variant 2 (from Song of Songs) 4:7  Thou art fair, my love, and there is no fault in thee. 4:8a  O my love, come from Lebanon,come, my bride, come, thou shalt be crowned.
