Description: Published in The New American Melody, 1789, pp. 45-48. This tune changes key frequently. Words by Isaac Watts, 1717, paraphrase of Psalm 51, Part 1, with six stanzas. French used five of Watts' stanzas (1, 2, 3, 5, 6) in his composition.
