melody is not anonymous gregorian.. But 19th century English... Thomas Helmore (member of the Oxford Movement) published it and states - without naming the reference - that he transcribed a manuscript he found in Lisbon... Is sounds, but certainly is a romantic version of perhaps an original gregorian chant for the O-antiphones from the friday before Chirstmas Wursten 07:57, 15 December 2005 (PST)
