Sorry, but I think the correct title in German is "Der Lindenbaum", so given in all me known table of contents. Maybe the sorter-setting on ISMLP and CPDL is wrong. --[[User:Obendorf|Stefan Obendorf, Dresden]] ([[User talk:Obendorf|talk]]) 20:01, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

:You're correct, Stefan, the complete title is this one. But alphabetic ordering of all titles makes an exception for definite articles to avoid that most English titles be mixed under "The", German titles under Der, Die, Das, etc. Definite article is not taken in count, as it is not significant. So, please, let <nowiki>{{DefaultSort:{{WorkSorter}}}}</nowiki> on pages where you find it, it's a common rule of all Wikis (thanks to Nikolaus Hold for having restored the occurrence you removed). If you don't disagree, I would reorder the Friedrich Silcher's composer page that way. [[User:Claude T|Claude]] ([[User talk:Claude T|talk]]) 06:25, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

::Hi Claude, thanks for your explanation. I'll accept this sorter convention, even I think by myself that it is not the best way. So I can understand the convention in relation of titles like 'Der 23. Psalm'. In contrast is the alphabetical listing of 'Der Herr ist mein Hirte' under 'H' a litte confusing. By the way: On Wikipedia you will find 'Der Lindenbaum' in alphabetical listing under 'D' - in my opinion the correct way, because the title of the poem is similar to a proper name.[[User:Obendorf|Stefan Obendorf, Dresden]] ([[User talk:Obendorf|talk]]) 19:31, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
