Original text and translations

Latin.png Latin text

Vivo ego, dicit Dóminus,
nolo mortem peccatóris,
sed ut magis convertátur et vivam.

Quis scit, si convertátur et ignóscat Deus,
et relínquat post se benedictiónem?

English.png English translation

As I live, says the Lord,
I desire not the death of a sinner,
rather that he turn from his way and live.

Who can tell whether God will turn and forgive,
and leave a blessing behind him?
