Biography
Alexander Samuel Cooper was born in London, England, and studied organ and piano. He was organist at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perth, Scotland; St. Columbia’s College, Rathfarnham, Dublin; St. John’s, Putney, London; St. Paul’s, Covent Garden, London; and Tonbridge Grammar School. He also edited the Parochial Psalter and Parochial Chant Book. He died in London. His compositions include service music, anthems, songs, and part songs.
