Biography

John Albert Sowerbutts was born in Southwark, London, England. He trained at the Royal Academy of Music. He became organist at Organist of Guilford Cathedral and was Music master at Winchester College. His compositions include service music, many organ pieces, and part-songs. He died in Midhurst, Sussex.
