Talk:Carols for Choirs
Merge request discussion
"sortable table makes a merge with Carols for Choirs 3, Carols for Choirs 2, and the currently in-print reissue 100 Carols For Choirs seem more useful than 4 separate pages. Richard Mix 02:42, 1 September 2011 (CDT)"
My suggestion is that the Carols for Choirs page exist in addition to the separate publication pages, which will remain to hold work, publication, price, editor etc. data specific to that volume.

- Thanks, looking good so far! I could quible with two things: a single column for "composer/arranger" (as in World Carols for Choirs) would sidestep the issue of whether M. Praetorius should be expected to turn up in the first or the second category. Secondly, titles will have different numbers in Carols for Choirs N' than in 100 Carols for Choirs, so it might also make sense to combine the number field with the collection field: "Adam lay ibounden" would then be listed as appearing in "CCC #1; CfC2 #3". Or do you think it's more elegant thus:
|Carols For Choirs||100 Carols||Title|
|vol. 2 #3||#1||Adam lay ibounden|
- The other volume specific info could still be on one combined page, couldn't it? Richard Mix 03:00, 8 May 2012 (CDT)
- I've never seen CC4; is there any overlap w/ CCC? World Carols for Choirs should probably be a "see also" with its own page, and the anthem collections likewise have no redundancies that would make merging desirable. Richard Mix 04:55, 8 May 2012 (CDT)
