Description: For the first Sunday of the Passion: John 8:59. The Pharisees are challenging Jesus' claims that God is his father, and that one who keeps his word will never die. They think he has a demon. "Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?" Jesus defends his claims and says, "Before Abraham was, I am." So they take up stones to throw at him.
