French text modernized Un jour au bois sous la ramée Je trouvai mon ami seulet; En lui disant sans demeure: "Faites moi le joli hochet". "Et bien", dit il, "faisons de hait Un petit coup sur la rosée". He mon ami, qu'il est doucet! "Faites toujours, je suis paumée".

English translation So one day, beneath the canopy of the wood, I find my b.f. on his Tod And straight up I'm saying "Give me a good rattling". "O.K.", says he, " let's have A quickie in the dew".
