English text
Let God arise and his foes
will turn themselves to flight
his enemies will run abroad
and scatter out of sight
as the fire doth melt the wax
or the wind blows the smoke away
so in the presence of the lord
the wicked shall decay.
But righteous men before the lord
shall heartily rejoyce,
they shall be glad and merry all
and cheerfull in their voice sing praises
to him that rideeth on the sky
extol the name of Iah o' God
and him to magnify.
When you did'st march before the folk
the Egyptians from among
and leads't thee through the wildernes
which was both wild and long
the earth did quake,
the rain did pour down
heard were great claps of thunder.
Mount Sinai shook as if't would break in sunder.
