Description: Published the Johnson's Tennessee Harmony, 1818. This is a folk hymn, probably adapted by Johnson from earlier folk sources (Music 2005). Words by an unknown author, before 1818. All six stanzas appear in Moore'sColumbian Harmony, 1825.
