Upon that cold and wintry night,
he came us, our heart's delight,
born in a lowly cattle stall,
this precious babe, the Lord of all.
Sing gloria in excelsis Deo!

The virgin Mary, mother mild,
sang softly, sweetly to her child.
She laid him on a bed of straw,
and all who entered kneeled in awe.

To shepherds watching in thenight
came angels robed in radiant light'
they sanf of peac, good will and joy,
glad tiding sof the holy boy!
Sing gloria in excelsis Deo!

Then from the East, led by a star,
three wise men journeyed from afar;
each brought a gift, a precioius thing
to lay before the infant king!
Sing gloria in excelsis Deo!

Again we sing of him this night,
the holy chld, our heart's delight.
Come worship now, hyour praises bring
to Jesus Christ, the newborn king!
