Arising from the deep,
Awaking from his sleep,
The bright sun casts his shafts across the sky;
His pure and ardent rays
Disperse the misty haze,
And night’s dark clouds before its glory fly.
Its burning splendour rests
Upon the mountain crests,
And crowns the rugged peaks with liquid light;
It bathes with crimson glow
The swelling flood below,
And bursts in glory on the charmed sight;
