Cantad llorando este día,
que se ausenta nuestro bien,
y al verle volar al cielo,
el llanto fue de placer.

Sentir su ausencia el amor,
bien debe mas ha de ser,
con regocijos aplaudan
de su victoria el laurel,

Por eso de admiraciones,
el cielo se llena al ver,
que triunfante de la muerte
sube coronado rey.

Sus cortesanos alegres,
abren las puertas porque,
a todo el género humano
las ha abierto su poder.

Que sentir su partida,
al verle ascender
es la fineza que obtentó

el amor fiel, la fineza,
que tiernos le pueden hacer.
Es sentir su partida,
al verle ascender.
