Born: ca. 1780, Ireland
Died: 28 February 1816 in Frederick, Maryland
Biography American Methodist elder and itinerant preacher, and hymn writer. He probably came to America in 1801. He was physically handicapped, having only one functional leg; yet he traveled widely in the mountains of Kentucky and western Virginia (Richard Hulan, in Steel and Hulan 2010). There is no Wikipedia page.
