Biography
Hubbard William Harris was born in Illinois. He was on the faculty of Millikin University, taught piano, organ, and harmony at Northwestern University, and taught theory at the Cosmopolitan School of Music and Dramatic Art. He was often a featured solo pianist. He was a respected music critic as the musical editor of the Chicago Daily Tribune and wrote program notes for a number of music organizations including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He died in Wilmette, Illinois. He wrote a number of works, but most of his compositions were songs.
