English text
In the moonlight, thro’ the forest, on their nimble coursers bounding,
But just now I saw the fairies, heard their bells and clarions sounding.
And their impetuous milk-white horses golden antlers bore,
And keeping swiftly on, rushed by like wild swans through the night air
Gaily smiled the queen as past me she was riding,
Means it my new love shall prosper or forbodes some fatal tiding.
