Biography

Thomas Byron Weaver was born in Muskingum County, Ohio. He became a well-known educator in Ohio serving as Superintendent of Schools in Mechanicsburg and Prospect and was Principal of the Standard Americanization School in Cleveland. He was an advocate of music education and introduced music into the curriculum at Prospect. He composed a number of hymns, carols, and songs and co-authored the Smith and Weaver Primary Song Book (1906). He died in Morgan County, Ohio.
