Clementine VulgateLatin text 1 In finem, in carminibus. Psalmus David. 2 Cum invocarem exaudivit me Deus iustitiae meae, in tribulatione dilatasti mihi. 3 Filii hominum, usquequo gravi corde? ut quid diligitis vanitatem, 4 Et scitote quoniam mirificavit Dominus sanctum suum; 5 Irascimini, et nolite peccare; quae dicitis in cordibus vestris, 6 Sacrificate sacrificium iustitiae, et sperate in Domino. Multi dicunt: Quis ostendet nobis bona? 9 in pace in idipsum dormiam, et requiescam; 10 quoniam tu, Domine, singulariter in spe constituisti me. |
Douay-Rheims BibleEnglish translation Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David. Church of England 1662 Book of Common PrayerEnglish text To the end, in songs. A psalm of David. 1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast set me at liberty when I was in trouble; 2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye blaspheme mine honour: and have such pleasure in vanity, 3 Know this also, that the Lord hath chosen to himself the man that is godly: 4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart, 5 Offer the sacrifice of righteousness: and put your trust in the Lord. 6 There be many that say: Who will shew us any good? 7 Lord, lift thou up: the light of thy countenance upon us. 8 Thou hast put gladness in my heart: since the time that their corn and wine and oil increased. 9 I will lay me down in peace, and take my rest: for it is thou, Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety. |
King James Version
English text
1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

Midőn segítségűl híttam, meghallgatott engem az én igazságom Istene; a szorongásban tágítottál rajtam. Könyörűlj rajtam, és hallgasd meg imádságomat. |
