Miért távoztál, Uram, meszsze, elfordúlsz az alkalmas időben, a szorongatásban?
Míg az istentelen kevélykedik, ég a szegény; de amaz megfogatik tanácsaiban, melyeket forralt;
mert a bűnös dicsekszik lelke kivánságaiban, és a gonosz áldja magát.
A bűnös megkeseríti az Urat, haragja nagysága szerint nem néz semmit.
Nincs Isten az ő színe előtt; utai meg vannak fertőztetve minden időben. Eltávolíttatnak itéleteid az ő orczája elől, minden ellenségén uralkodni akar.
Mert mondá szivében: Nem fogok ingadozni, nemzedékről nemzedékre, baj nélkül leszek.
Szája telve átokkal és keserűséggel és álnoksággal; nyelve alatt nyomorgatás vagyon és fájdalom.
Lesben ül a gazdagokkal, rejtekben, hogy megölje az ártatlant.
Szemei a szegényre néznek; leselkedik a rejtekben, mint barlangjában az oroszlán. Leselkedik, hogy elragadja a szegényt; elragadja a szegényt, magához vonván őt.
Tőrében lenyomja őt, meghajol és rohan, midőn hatalmába ejti a szegényeket.

Törd el a bűnös és gonosztevő karját; keresni fogják az ő bűnét, és nem találják.
Az Úr országlani fog örökké és mindörökön örökké; ti pogányok, elvesztek az ő földéről.
A szegények kivánságát meghallgatta az Úr; szivök készületeit meghallotta a te füled:
hogy itéletet tégy az árvának és alázatosnak, hogy az ember többé ne magasztalja föl magát a földön.
